Description
The feature covers the ibus-bogo to provide Vietnamese input.
By the way, exactly the same test case as described here works also with ibus-unikey and also with ibus-m17n or ibus-typing-booster when using the “vi-telex” input method from m17n-db.
As ibus-bogo has been broken for a long time on Wayland, there is a proposal to use ibus-m17n instead as the default input method for Vietnamese. This Changes page has instructions on how to do the same test using ibus-m17n.
Setup
Follow up to the steps in QA:Testcase i18n input method setup to configure the input method on the desktop in general.
- $sudo dnf install ibus-bogo -y
- $ibus restart
- Add an input source which has (BoGo) in the name. See "How to"
How to test
- Enable Vietnamese (BoGo) input method from the gnome-shell panel and type "Khoong cos gif quis hown ddoocj laapj tuwj do".
Expected Results
- You will get Vietnamese string "Không có gì quí hơn độc lập tự do".
