Description
The test-case covers ibus-chewing, which provides a Traditional Chinese chewing input method.
Setup
Follow up to the steps in QA:Testcase i18n input method setup to configure the input method on the desktop in general.
- Add an input source which has (Chewing) or (新酷音) in the name.
How to test
- Get some test Traditional Chinese sentences, try to input it under "Chewing", to see whether the "Chewing" can input the sentence correctly.
- Type "183ji4vu04y94<" should display "把握現在,"
- Type "ru cjo4gl yj/4ru6g4" should display "機會稍縱即逝"
- Test if ibus-chewing preferences works
- On GNOME, open Settings > Keyboard > Input Sources > Chinese (Chewing) > Preferences
- On other Desktop, open ibus-setup to configure Chewing
- Configure "Keyboard Type" to "Hanyu Pinyin" and "Conversion Engine" to "Fuzzy Chewing"
- Type "ba wo xian zai ," or "ba3wo4xian4zai4," should display "把握現在,"
- Type "ji hui shao zong ji shi " or "ji hui4shao zong4ji2shi4" should display "機會稍縱即逝"
Expected Results
- Whether the "Chewing" input method can correctly input the test sentences.
- Whether the preferences can be used to customize the input method.
- Whether the "Fuzzy Chewing" conversion engine allows using Pinyin without input tones.
