Description

This test is to check if input displayed correctly in applications such as

  • Firefox
  • Terminal
  • gnome-software
  • LibreOffice
  • Evolution
  • KWrite


How to test

  1. See QA:Testcase_i18n_input_method to check if the input method is enabled
  2. Open an application, left click Ibus input method framework icon in the panel to select the input method.
  3. Input some texts like words, numbers, special characters into application.
  4. GTK4 applications are supported since Fedora 34 (if not using Wayland also install ibus-gtk4):
    1. Enable an input method engine
    2. Run gnome-text-editor
    3. Focus on the text view and type some language text
    4. Click application menu -> "Search/Replace" menu item, type some language text
