please answer following questions
Why do you want to work with the Fedora Project?
I found Fedora Project when i was looking for a interesting, reliable, open-source and "with a strong community" project to work (and have a good time) with. Fedora Project matches with it, so this is my first reason to join it. My interest areas are (mainly) operating system and networking communication. Fedora Project have some projects in this area, so, this is my second reason to work with Fedora Project.
Do you have any past involvement with the Fedora project or any other open source project as a contributor?
Not really. I have been developing code for companies since 2008, which basically are multimedia communication and embeded networking communication libraries. One of my focus now is to make/change all this code into a open source libraries, programs.
Did you participate with the past GSoC programs, if so which years, which organizations?
No, but, some college's friends told me about how they had a good time working with GSoC, which made me excited to participate. I choose Fedora Project because yours projects are strongly related with my interest area.
Will you continue contributing/ supporting the Fedora project after the GSoC 2013 program, if yes, which team(s), you are interested with?
Honestly, i did not have any contact with any Fedora Project's team yet. But reading on the website about the current teams/projects, the 'infrastructure' team got my atention. I will have to check their work closer ;).
Why should we choose you over other applicants?
About my open-source interest, i consider myself part of this community since 2006, when i decided to try some linux-based operating systems. Since then, i have been working with C, python and i have designed some projects to work with multimedia communication.
My first 'cool' project was a RTP/RTSP library to process data over the internet. This project took me around 2 months (including work, college, girlfriend, etc) and around 5000 lines of code. I developed it using C and gcc over over linux, and i did it all by myself (why ? Could not find interested people around me).
I would like to mention another project, which is an implementation of a network stack(network + transport + security layers) for some embeded systems, running over ARM and some others architectures. This project i developed with a friend, and we are not sure yet how/when to publish it.
About me, i am huge fan of C since always. Today, my free time i spend basically programming/studing the linux kernel.
At college, my current project is for the 'Compilator' class, which is to make a compilator using tools like YACC and FLEX, you can find it here: https://code.google.com/p/infcompiler/
My motivation is to make this all work, and to let us all have a great time with Fedora Project in GSoC 2013.
