I have been an active member of the local Linux Users Group [https://cqlug.linux.org.au/] since 2008 and it was at that time I started to use Linux as my main personal desktop OS. I first saw and used Linux in 2001 with Red Hat 6.2 and then Fedora Core 4. I have played with many distributions over the years but Fedora has provided me with a platform that is very up to date yet stable and easy to maintain. It just doesn't get in the way and give me more time to play and tinker!

I'd love to get involved in as many aspects of Fedora and it's promotion/development as my time will allow, and I think being an ambassador would be a great first step because I love using Fedora and think other people will too.

Activities within Fedora

  • I'd like to become an ambassador for Fedora locally (Australia) and work toward package maintaining and development work as well.

I have been an active member of the local Linux Users Group [2] since 2008 and it was at that time I started to use Linux as my main personal desktop OS.

2021 Goals

  • Become an ambassador for the Fedora Project
  • Find a piece of software I like to use that isn't available in the Fedora repositories, package it and submit it so others can use it.
