No More Kudzu
Summary
anaconda should stop using libkudzu
Owner

Current status
- Targeted release: Fedora 9
- Last updated: 2008-01-23
- Percentage of completion: 90%
Only the command stubs use kudzu anymore.
Detailed Description
anaconda is the only thing keeping kudzu around, for the most part. Everything that it uses it for can be handled by the 'normal' mechanisms that the OS uses for probing, module loading, and device discovery these days.
Benefit to Fedora
anaconda uses the same mechanisms as the rest of the OS.
Scope
Test Plan
Because the kudzu -> udev/HAL change is a refactoring of infrastructure:
- General Regression testing
- execute kudzu tests, results should be similar or expected with new udev/HAL changes
