Purpose

The Fedora Council is our top-level community leadership and governance body. It is responsible for stewardship of the Fedora Project as a whole, and supports the health and growth of the Fedora Community. The Council is ultimately accountable for the Fedora Project as a whole, and is responsible for providing advice to and oversight of other Fedora governance bodies and teams as needed.

This hackfest is to facilitate council members working effectively through topics that require a high-bandwidth conversations, such as creating a process to support FE-Legal request triaging, Fedora Budget review, AI policy drafting and formalizing a Conflict of Interest policy. During this meeting we will also revise and set immediate goals for the Fedora Strategy, with the intent of leaving with a clear direction forward on how to achieve these, and a time-line to execute against. There are also supplementary goals like reviewing the changes proposed to the Fedora Mindshare committee, and future hackfest early planning. Additionally, we also intend to look at how the Council works together, and revitalise our ways of working in the places that its ineffective.

Where are we staying?

We will be staying at NH Hotel Plaza de Armas. The hotel is located near to the station Plaza de Armas.

How to get there?

There are multiple ways to get to the hotel from the Sevilla Airport (SVQ).

1. Take the EA bus line. At the airport there are multiple signs indicating where is the bus stop. You can paid directly at the bus using your credit card. The cost is 6 Euros per ticket. The journey usually takes around 40-50 minutes to the nearest bus stop to the hotel. You must get off at the bus stop "Marques de Parada".

2. Take an Uber from Aiport to the Hotel. The Uber won't stop at the door of the airport instead they stop inside the parking. There is a dedicated area for them. You will be able to follow the signs to get there, in addition, feel free to ask any police officer that is around.

3. Take a Taxi from Airport to the Hotel. There is a fixed price of 30 Euros to anywhere inside the city. If you take a Taxi, make sure they don't charge you more.
