Many people contributed their free time to the Fonts SIG and it's nice to see it noticed:
- Stephen Carter writes in February 2009 our new packaging templates are much easier on new packagers.
- Karsten Wade wrote this very nice article in February 2009. The efforts of fonts packagers in 2008 were not in vain!
- Our Myanmar users had a pleasant experience in November 2008.
- Nicolas Spalinger credited the SIG for the difference it made on his XO in October 2008. Always nice to read, especially from a member of the Debian/Ubuntu fonts team[1] ☺☺☺.
- We merged Stix Fonts on the day of their release, to the delighted surprise of some of our users (January 2008).
- Máirín Duffy, of artTeam fame, published an interesting study in September 2007. Her article lead directly to the creation of the Fonts SIG.
- ↑ Which is doing good work too, BTW.
