What is Fedora?

The Fedora Project is a worldwide community that creates a Linux distribution every six months that is used by more than one million computers.

What is FUDCon?

FUDCon is the Fedora Users and Developers Conference. The North American FUDCon is held annually in the winter. Approximately 150–200 people around the world attend the three-day event to work face-to-face on Fedora and to help teach others new skills. This January, FUDCon will be held on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas, USA.

FUDCon is organized into three days: one BarCamp conference day, and two hackfest days. The BarCamp conference is more accurately called an "unconference"; no talks are scheduled before they are announced and voted on at the start of the conference. During the hackfests over the next two days, attendees work together on projects to improve Fedora and free software in general.

Why be a sponsor?

The Fedora community continues to grow, and each year we require more budget to run FUDCon. That's where you come in.

Sponsors help pay for event space, lunches, and FUDPub, as well as helping pay travel expenses for contributors who otherwise wouldn't be able to come.

Sponsorship levels

$NAME1 — USD $3,000 —

$NAME2 — USD $2,000 —

$NAME3 — USD $1,000 — Your logo or name on the conference shirt (one color only), plus the benefits below.

$NAME4 — USD $500 — Your logo or name in the information booklet and on the FUDCon Lawrence wiki page. Your sponsorship is also mentioned by name during Friday morning's plenary session.

Note that by committing to a sponsorship amount, you do not pay the Fedora Project directly; you commit to directly pay expenses up to your sponsorship amount. The Fedora Project cannot directly accept money or contributions.
