Description
This test case covers browse folders, renaming files and showing metadata
Setup
Boot Fedora to KDE4 desktop
How to test
- Browse folders
- Open Dolphin
- Open several directories, go back and forward few times
- Go to all places on the Place panel by clicking them
- Renaming files
- Open Dolphin
- Right-click a file and choose Rename. Enter new name and confirm
- Select two or more files and click F2. Enter name pattern and confirm
- Metadata
- Open Dolphin
- Go to any folder containing more files of various types (e.g. Documents, /temp,...)
- Click to Control -> Additional Information and choose any of them (feel free to choose them all)
- Click to Control -> Show in groups
- Click to Control -> Sort by -> Type
Expected Results
- Browse folders
- You should be able to browse folders and move back and forward as expected
- Renaming files
- If you want to rename one file, you should be able to rename it inline (no pop-up dialog)
- If you want to rename more files, there should popped up a dialog with hint about pattern
- Both ways to rename should work as expected
- Metadata
- There should be visible files metadata according to your choosing them in Control
- After grouping by Type, all types should be together in one group, alphabetically ordered by default
- All the metadata should correspond to real type of files
