The Fedora Project is using the <code>DejaVu LGC</code> variation which includes support for latin-based languages, greek and cyrillic (LGC: Latin, Greek, Cyrillic) while the standard Deja<code></code>Vu font has currently support for even more scripts such as Arabic and Armenian. This was a technical decision for this version of Fedora Core, which might change in the future to add support for more languages.
The DejaVu fonts are a font family based on the ''Bitstream Vera'' fonts release 1.10. Its purpose is to provide a wider range of characters while maintaining the original look and feel through the process of collaborative development.
