I work at Red Hat in the desktop team. The primary areas in which I work are user interface toolkits, text layout, and fonts. I was the past maintainer of the GTK+ project, and created the Pango text layout library. I led the effort to create GNOME Shell for GNOME 3, and am still one of the maintainers of Mutter, along with working on general architectural issues for the desktop.
