Revision as of 05:05, 30 May 2009
Monday
- Is awed by NC. And the really, really large hotel room. Whoa.
Tuesday
- Orientation. Drinkin' the Kool-Aid.
Wednesday
- Orientation. More Kool-Aid, obtained slightly-too-small fedora, still excited about having #FF0000 hat.
- Got bored, wrote http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE_Followup and commented on the schedule for every day on http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE#Topic_Schedule.
- Roamed downtown Raleigh. Awesome Lebanese food, historial structures under construction.
Thursday
- Started to become not-lost in Raleigh offices (just in time to leave to Boston and get lost in Westford!)
- read far too many intro handbooks and intranet documents
- POSSE call with gdk, ctyler, humph for a first round through the http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE_Planning#TODOS list.
- Made final POSSE wikipage location and sent to POSSE participants, migrating from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Professors_Open_Source_Summer_Experience and http://chris.tylers.info/wiki/index.php/POSSE_Planning#TODOS to http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE. Set your bookmarks!
- POSSE participation infrastructure is likewise set. See http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE#Participation_infrastructure.
- Started looking for POSSE swag, http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE_Planning#Swag; asked Máirín where FUDCON got its swag so we can potentially use the same (cheap, good) provider, will followup.
- Started looking for POSSE speakers, http://teachingopensource.org/index.php/POSSE_Planning#Guests. Need help.
- read the https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Category:Community_Architecture_meetings backlog
- Realized that keeping up with email is going to be a non-trivial time commitment
