Fedora Ambassadors strive to present Fedora as knowledgeable, responsive Interfaces to all the Fedora-Groups, Sub-Projects, SIG's, Contributors, Users and interested groups/people. To keep sure you know our Message and are willing to invest time and knowledge, it's imperative that you follow the Membership Process:

1. Pick a Mentor! Contact and start working with one of these Mentors near your Region:

2. Create your personal wiki page in the Fedora Project Wiki https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Your_FAS-username The page should contain, valid contact information, who you are, what your are doing, what you will do, what are your goals as a Ambassador and so on.

Add to your page the right category.

3. Subscribe to Fedora Ambassadors Mailing List

After we get a "ready" from your Mentor and you have completed above steps, we will sponsor and approve your Membership to the Ambassador Group in FAS.

Additional it is recommended to perform following Steps:

4. Change your first name and last name to Latin letter in the FAS if you filled your name in Cyrillic, Chinese, or other than Latin.

5. Subscribe to Fedora Announce Mailing List https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-announce-list

6. Subscribe to Fedora Marketing Mailing List https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-marketing-list

7. Read the Mailing Guidelines carefully before you start posting there. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/MailinglistGuidelines

8. Remove yourself from The Unlicensed Group for OPL without options. (If you contributed in the past) http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/UnlicensedGroup

9. If you blog about your work as Fedora Contributor, add your blog to Planet Fedora http://planet.fedoraproject.org <http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Planet_HowTo>

After you're completed above steps, i will sponsor and approve your Membership

to the Ambassador Group in FAS.
