  • Date: 18 & 19 July 2009
  • Time: 10am-6pm
  • Location: NIT Agartala, India

Activities

  • Various workshops & talks on FEL, Scilab, Octave, QUC and QCAD
  • Install fest- newer features like Live USB also will be undertaken
  • Talks via VoIP with Fedora & O'Reilly speakers(negotiations ongoing). Having Gordon Meyer to give a talk on DIYs as part of the extension of Open Source hardware via VoIP
  • Presentations & workshops(including Qcad, QUCS & Scilab) by eminent speakers including Shakthi Kannan(key FOSS contributor & Fedora ambassador) & probably also Pradeepto Bhattacharya(KDE developer & Asia head) & a few NIT Agartala GLUG members
  • Sun might also be sending a speaker. Not yet confirmed, referred by a contact


Attendees

  • Inviting interested faculty members & students of our college, Tripura Institute of Technology(TIT), ICFAI, Tripura Medical College(TMC) & other local colleges & schools officially through college invitation
  • Also inviting IIT Guwahati, NIT Silchar(our Director is its joint head), NIT Durgapur, Jadavpur University & NERIST, Itanagar
  • Will send out official invitations through college & also via email to all the NITs & IITs
  • Will also put up few posters at important places in the city to attract interested people
  1. Expected attendance of over 1,000 people over the two days.
  2. The faculties of Computer Science & Engineering & heads of institutions from in & around the city and nearby colleges(i.e. NIT Silchar & IIT Guwahati) will be invited officially
