This page is a draft only
It is still under construction and content may change. Do not rely on the information on this page.

The Fedora brand guidelines are the official brand and logo guidelines of the Fedora Project. Use of Fedora-related logos must fall under these guidelines. Deviations from the guidelines are only acceptable with permission from the Artwork sub-project.

fedora-logos.tar.gz
Some logos will reference fedora-logos.tar.gz and provide a filename. All these logos are available from emailing logo/at/fedoraproject/dot/org. (This queue is run by a human, so please be patient with requests.)
fedora-logos-free.tar.gz
Some logos will reference fedora-logos-free.tar.gz and provide a filename. All these logos are available from INSERT LINK HERE. These logos do not contain trademarked elements and therefore may be distributed freely.

The Fedora logo symbolizes the Fedora Project and all that it does — the operating system it creates as well as the community that creates it.

Trademark guidelines in effect
Fedora®, the Fedora word design, and the Infinity design logo, either separately or in combination, are trademarks of Red Hat, Inc., and their permitted usage is documented in the trademark guidelines.

Why clearspace?
Placing other elements too close to the Fedora logo can make it appear that we have a relationship between us and what the elements represent. It can also make it look like we've changed. It's important to keep the logo intact, without outside entities, so it will be more recognizable.

Dark backgrounds

When the logo is on a background that is darker than 50% gray, use the darkbackground variation of the logo.

File:2-logo-darkbg.png

When the logo must be printed in grayscale, use the grayscale variation of the logo.

File:3-logo-gray.png

If you must use only one color, use only the logotype — do not use the logomark. This is fedora_logotype_grayscale.png in fedora-logos.tar.gz.

Standard uses of the Fedora Logo with other elements

Fedora Applications

Applications within Fedora should use this template to help bring a sense of unity to each of the applications and their functionality.

Fedora Groups

Groups within Fedora, whether subprojects, SIGs, regional groups, etc., should use this template.

FUDCon

Fonts

Where possible, use MgOpen Modata. It's available in the Fedora repositories as mgopen-modata-fonts (mgopen-fonts in Fedora versions prior to 11).

Otherwise, use Droid Sans. It's available in the Fedora repositories as google-droid-sans-fonts (google-droid-fonts in Fedora versions prior to 11).

Do not use Bryant2, the typeface used in the logotype. It is non-free and cannot be distributed with Fedora.
