Description

This test case is to check if the pm-hibernate command is working properly.

Setup

  1. Check that you have pm-utils installed:
    rpm -q pm-utils
  2. Check your swap:
    free
    • Your swap size should be at least twice your RAM size.

How to test

  1. Become root.
  2. Run the following command:
    pm-hibernate
  3. Wait for hibernation process to complete (it can take cca. 5-60 seconds).
  4. Resume your system by hitting the power button.

Expected Results

  1. System correctly hibernates and resumes.
