Description

This test verifies the DVD-based install repository during installation. Testing also includes verifying proper installation of packages included in the repository.

Setup

  1. Burn DVD.iso image to an optical disk.
  2. Check your system boot order preferences to ensure that the optical DVD drive boot target is enabled.

How to test

  1. Insert the optical disk to the optical DVD drive
  2. Boot the installer from DVD.iso
  3. When prompted, choose Test to have anaconda check your media
  4. Proceed through install process selecting a set of packages
  5. Remove final DVD before rebooting into installed system when instructed by installer

Expected Results

  1. System should boot into installer properly from DVD image
  2. Media check passes
  3. Anaconda functions properly and successfully installs required packages
  4. Package errors should not occur
  5. System boots successfully
