He was a great person who cared for others and was always willing to help. Many times he single handedly made sure the [https://pagure.io/release-notes/stats#authors Release Notes got out], and without him I don't think the Docs project would have been the great placeb it was in the 2000's and 2010's. We mourn the loss of John McDonough

John McDonough (jjmcd) passed away on 20 April 2020. John was a long-time contributor to Fedora Docs. For many years, he was the driving force behind the Technical Notes and the Release Notes. John was a kind an patient mentor to many Docs contributors. He was passionate about open source and amateur radio (callsign WB8RCR).


His family has requested that any donations in his memory be made to one of the following:
