FESCO approved on 2008-12-17 a proposal to consolidate all the fonts packaging guidelines and associated materials (spec templates[1], macros, etc) in an helper package.
This package is named fontpackages and available in the current Fedora releases. Its sources are published on fedorahosted in archive and git formats.
