Hello ,
I am Manish Gurnani, a citizen of New Delhi, India
I am working as a Senior Developer in a software firm located in Noida. I have around 6 years of experience on various technologies - Java being the primary one.
My journey with open source began in 2002 when I installed Red Hat Linux 8 and it has been a steady partnership since then. I love to try different distros which come out regularly but my favourite is Fedora because I feel more comfortable using it. I am an advanced user in Linux and currently am trying to work out a system showcasing that a plain Fedora system can used productively in SOHO environment. Some opensource projects that I am trying out in this venture are :
- Virtualisation: VirtualBox, QEMU, XEN
- Domain setup: OpenLdap
- OpenOffice
- Rhythmbox with MP3 plugins
- VLC media player
- Customizing SplashImages
