The Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) project is happy to announce today the release of EPEL6. The EPEL6 software collection is add on packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 and other compatible systems, maintained by the community under the umbrella of the Fedora Project. The collection of EPEL 6 packages is a supplementary and compatible add-on repository for RHEL 6 or compatible rebuilds. It provides additional packages and does not replace any RHEL 6 packages. EPEL is a community project, maintained and supported by volunteers via Bugzilla and mailing lists. It is part of the Fedora Project and is not commercially supported by Red Hat, Inc. Over 2500 source packages that build into over 5600 binary rpms are included currently, limited only by maintainers eager and willing to maintain more packages. See below to join us!
