Fedora の翻訳者になるには、この章に記載されているようにしてアカウントの作成やメーリングリストへのサブスクライブ(購読)などを行う必要があります。 わからないことがある場合は trans メーリングリストに質問を投稿する、 または Internet Relay Chat いわゆる <acronym class="acronym">IRC</acronym> などを使って irc.freenode.org の #fedora-l10n チャネルでヘルプを求めてください。

1.1. メーリングリストをサブスクライブする

  1. <a href="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/trans">https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/trans</a> でメインとなる翻訳メーリングリストをサブスクライブします。

  2. あなたのサブスクリプションを確認するためのリンクを含んだ確認メールが届くのを待ちます。 メールが届いたらリンクをクリックしてサブスクリプションの確認を行います。

  3. あなたが翻訳する言語向けに別途メーリングリストがあるか <a href="https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N/Teams">https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N/Teams</a> を確認してください。 ある場合はそのメーリングリストもサブスクライブします。

1.2. SSH キーの作成

既に既存の SSH キーがある場合は Fedora の作業用にそれを使用することができます。 この場合は <a class="xref" href="#st-change-permissions" title="ステップ 2">ステップ 2</a> に進んでください。 SSH キーをまだ持っていない場合には以下の手順で作成します。

  1. 次のコマンドを入力します。 

    <code class="command">ssh-keygen -t rsa</code>

    デフォルトの場所 (~/.ssh/id_rsa) を容認し、 パスフレーズを入力します。

    パスフレーズを必ず覚えておいてください。

    翻訳を送信するにはパスフレーズが必要になります。 パスフレーズを忘れてしまうと回復できません。

  2. キーと .ssh ディレクトリのパーミッションを変更します。 

    <code class="command">chmod 700 ~/.ssh</code>
<code class="command">chmod 600 ~/.ssh/id_rsa</code>
<code class="command">chmod 644 ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub</code>

  3. このパブリックキー (~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub) を使って <a class="xref" href="#sect-Translation_Quick_Start_Guide-Accounts_and_Subscriptions-Applying_for_an_Account" title="1.4. アカウントの適用">「アカウントの適用」</a> に記載されているように Fedora アカウントを作成します。

1.3. GPG キーの作成

  1. コマンドラインに次を入力してキーを作成します。 

    <code class="command">gpg --gen-key</code>

    処理の間、 複数回の情報入力が求められます。 ほとんどの場合、 デフォルトの値のままで十分です。 簡単に見破られないようパスワードの作成には注意をしてください。

    適切なパスワードを作成する

    適切なパスワードとは、

    • 大文字や小文字、 数字、 記号、 その他の文字から構成されています。

    • 置換の有無に関わらず、 名前または辞書にあるような単語を含んでいません。

    • 他のシステムで使用されるパスワードとは異なるものです。

  2. 結果のテキストにある pub 1024D/1B2AFA1C のような文中からキー ID を探します。 キー ID はスラッシュ (/) の後の 8 文字です。 前の例では、 GPG キー ID は 1B2AFA1C になります。 自分のキー ID を書き留めておいてください。

  3. 他の人が見つけられるよう、 以下のコマンドで自分の公開キーを公開サーバーにエクスポートします。 キー ID の部分は自分のキー ID に置き換えてください。 

    <code class="command">gpg --keyserver subkeys.pgp.net --send-keys <em class="replaceable"><code>GPGKEYID</code></em></code>

  4. この GPG キー ID は、 <a class="xref" href="#sect-Translation_Quick_Start_Guide-Accounts_and_Subscriptions-Applying_for_an_Account" title="1.4. アカウントの適用">「アカウントの適用」</a> に記載されているように Fedora アカウントの作成に使用します。

1.4. アカウントの適用

  1. Fedora アカウントを作成するには、 まず <a href="http://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/">http://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/</a> に行き New account を選択します。

  2. Username、 Full Name、 Email を入力したら Sign up! をクリックします。 パスワードが Email で送られてきます。

  3. <a href="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts">https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts</a> に戻り、 パスワードを使ってログインします。 ウェルカムのページが表示され、 CLA が完了していないこと、 SSH キーが提出されていないことを通知します。

  4. パブリック SSH キーと GPG キー ID を提出するには、 My Account をクリックするか、 <a href="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/edit">https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/edit</a> に行きます。

  5. Edit Account (user_name) ページで GPG キー ID を GPG Key ID: フィールドに入力します。 パブリック SSH キーは、 Public SSH Key: フィールドのとなりにある Browse... ボタンをクリックして自分のパブリック SSH キーを指定します。

  6. CLA の署名には Telephone Number (電話番号) と Postal Address (郵便の宛先) フィールドの入力が必要になります。 これらの情報は admin グループ以外、 他の人にはアクセスできません。 <a href="https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:PrivacyPolicy">https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Legal:PrivacyPolicy</a> で Fedora Privacy Policy を参照してください。

  7. Other fields will be displayed by any other member by visiting the user's view page.

  8. このページの末尾にある Save! をクリックして入力した情報を保存します。

1.5. CLA に署名する

Contributors License Agreement (貢献者ライセンス同意書 - <acronym class="acronym">CLA</acronym>) を完了させる必要があります。

  1. <a href="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts">https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts</a> に行き、 前述の手順で得たユーザー名とパスワードを使って自分のアカウントにログインします。

  2. ウェルカムページでは、 complete the CLA をクリックする、 または ulink url="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/edit" /> に行きます。

  3. 電話番号と郵便番号の情報をまだ提供していない場合は Edit Account (user_name) ページが表示されます。 これ以外は Fedora Contributor License Agreement のページが表示されます。 同意書をよく読み、 同意できる場合にのみ I agree をクリックします。

  4. user-view ページが現れ、 CLA: フィールドに CLA Done と表示されます。

1.6. 自己紹介

  1. <a href="https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Username">https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Username</a> で個人のページを作成します。 Fedora 貢献者同士が互いに知り合い、 連絡をとり合うのに非常に便利です。

  2. <a href="https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Self_introduction">https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Self_introduction</a> の説明を参考に簡単な自己紹介を trans メーリングリストと trans-ja メーリングリストに投稿してください。 自分の FAS (Fedora アカウント) ユーザー名と翻訳対象言語を必ず明記してください。 この情報でスポンサーは参加する言語チームを識別し、 適切な言語チームのスポンサーにより cvsl10n グループ参加承認が与えられます。

1.7. cvsl10n グループへの参加

  1. user-view ページで左側のバーにある Join a Group をクリックします。 このステップを後で実行したい場合は <a href="https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/view/user_name">https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/user/view/user_name</a> にこのページがあります。

  2. Click C of the alphabet, it returns the list of the groups starting with 'c'.

  3. この一覧からグループ名 cvsl10n を探し、 Apply をクリックします。

  4. あなたが申請したことが全てのスポンサーとアドミニストレーターに通知されます。 <a class="xref" href="#sect-Translation_Quick_Start_Guide-Accounts_and_Subscriptions-Introducing_Yourself" title="1.6. 自己紹介">「自己紹介」</a> に従って自己紹介をしてください。 あなたの翻訳対象とする言語チームのスポンサーによって承認作業が行われます。 この作業には 1 時間から数日かかることがあります。 承認されるとメンバーシップの通知が Email で送信されてきます。

警告

残りのステップは、アクセスをテストしたり近いうちに必要となるかもしれない Fedora のインフラ関連の特権を得る作業になります。 言語メンテナーおよび新たに言語チームを開設する方はこれに従ってください。 翻訳者にとってはオプションとなりますが、 行っておくことをお勧めします。

1.8. Bugzilla アカウントの作成

1.9. おめでとうございます

必要な手続きは終了しました。 これであなたも Fedora コミュニティーの一員です。 デジタルにドキュメントや Email に署名したり、 貢献を提出、 Wiki でコンテンツを発表、 バグを報告、 グループディスカッションや他の Fedora チームに参加したりすることができます。

第2章 ソフトウェアを翻訳する

ソフトウェアパッケージの翻訳できる部分は 1 つまたは複数の po ファイルで提供されます。 これらのファイルはプロジェクトにより CVS や、 Subversion、 Mercurial、 git といった多くのバージョン制御システム (VCS) のどれかで保守されています。 これらは fedoraproject.org か、他のシステムでホストされています。

本章では fedorahosted.org でホストされるプロジェクトの翻訳方法を説明します。 翻訳者は po ファイルの取得およびサブミットにインターフェースを利用します。 開始する前に、 まず po ファイルを保持するディレクトリを用意してください。

2.1. ダウンロード用のディレクトリを準備する

翻訳できるプロジェクトを見つけるには、 <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/</a> にあるプロジェクト一覧を確認します。

ファイルをダウンロードする前にこれらのファイルを保持するディレクトリを用意します。 以下に示す構成は単なる例であり、 自分がわかりやすいディレクトリ構成でかまいません。

2.2. プロジェクトを取得して翻訳する

これでディレクトリ構成の準備ができたので翻訳するファイルをダウンロードすることができるようになりました。 ファイルの競合を避けるため、 自分の言語チームの他の翻訳者と連絡をとりあう必要があるかもしれません。 どうしたらよいかわからない場合は、 その言語のコーディネーターに問い合わせてください。 また、 ファイルにロックをかけるのも競合を避ける手段となります。

  1. <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/</a> など、 翻訳対象の言語ページに行き目的のリリースを選択します。 <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/collection/c/fedora/r/fedora-13/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/collection/c/fedora/r/fedora-13/</a> など、 選択したリリースのページにリダイレクトされます。

  2. そのリリースで翻訳可能な全プロジェクトの表までページをスクロールダウンします。 各プロジェクトのオプション部分にある Download po/ja.po というラベルの付いた下向き矢印のアイコンを右クリックして、 poファイルを適当なファイル名で前のセクションで作成したディレクトリにダウンロードします (例、 abrt.po)。

  3. これでファイルを翻訳する準備が整いました。 Lokalize や gtranslator などの po エディターで po ファイルを翻訳します。

  4. サブミットする前にファイルの整合性をチェックします。 

    <code class="command">msgfmt -cvo /dev/null abrt.po</code>

重要項目

エラーメッセージが出る場合は修正してからサブミットしてください。

2.3. プロジェクトをサブミットする

翻訳作業が終わったら同じインターフェイスを使ってファイルをサブミットします。

  1. <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/</a> など、 翻訳対象の言語ページに戻り目的のリリースを選択します。 <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/collection/c/fedora/r/fedora-13/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/languages/l/ja/collection/c/fedora/r/fedora-13/</a> など、 そのリリースのページにリダイレクトされます。

  2. ログイン

    まだログインしていない場合は、 ページの最上部で Sign in を選択して Sign in ページに行きます。 Fedora Account System のユーザー名とパスワードを使って認証を受けます。

  3. サブミット

    各プロジェクトのオプション部分にある Send a translation for po/ja.po というラベルの付いた上向き矢印のアイコンをクリック、 参照ボタンをクリックして翻訳したファイルを見つけます。

    Send ボタンをクリックして翻訳したファイルをサブミットします。

    File submitted successfully というメッセージが表示されます。 これ以外、 エラーや他のメッセージが表示される場合は、 対処できるよう Fedora Localization Project のメーリングリストに報告してください。

2.4. 新規の po ファイルを追加する

  1. To add new po, click the component to add in Untranslated Components section. It brings up the page of that project's component.

2.5. 査読を行う

注記

Fedora 12 からはユーザーインターフェイスによりソフトウェア翻訳のレビューと修正が行えるようライブイメージがコンポーズされダウンロードできるようになっています。 このライブイメージは Fedora ソフトウェア翻訳の締め切りより 1 週間ほど前にコンポーズが行われ、 締め切りの日まで利用できるようになります。 このイメージにはコンポーズの時点でサブミットされた最新の翻訳が含まれているはずです。

ソフトウェアの一部として自分が作業した翻訳を査読する場合は次の手順に従います。

  1. 査読を行いたいパッケージのディレクトリに移動します。 例えば、

  2. -o オプションを付けて msgfmt を使い、 po ファイルを mo ファイルに変換します。

目的の po ファイルをダウンロードする場合は下向き矢印を、 サブミットする場合は上向き矢印を使用します。 また、 ペンシルアイコンを使うとオンラインでファイルを作業することができます。 サブミット用の上向き矢印とオンライン作業用のペンシルアイコンはログインしている状態でしか表示されないので注意してください。

3.2. docbook-locales ファイルを作成する

そのロケールではじめて翻訳を行う場合、 最初にその言語で翻訳されるドキュメントすべてに使用される docbook-locales を翻訳する必要があります。docbook-locales ファイルは Fedora がホストしているリポジトリにあります。 Transifex の <a href="https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/p/docbook-locales/c/master/">https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/p/docbook-locales/c/master/</a> に行き上述した説明に従って新規の po ファイルを追加します。

次に言語の追加リクエストを行う必要があります。 Bugzilla で Product には Fedora Documentation、 Component には docs-requests を選択し、 Summary は [ja]: New language support request にしてバグ報告をします。

必要ならばファイルを添付してください。

上記の方法で po ファイルの送信に問題が発生するような場合はバグに添付することができます。

English is the base language for the Fedora Project wiki, so there needs to be an English version of the page you are working on. 翻訳対象のページの最上部に何らかの言語のテンプレートが既に存在しているなら、言語ボックスの右側にある [編集] をクリックして、 ステップ 4 へ進んでください。そうでなければ、 ステップ 2 へ進んでください。

5.1.1. 英語のページが存在しないときの翻訳ページの取り扱い

If the page you create doesn't have an English version, create a new page for the English version, add the {{autolang}} template as noted above, and then add the {{needs english}} template. This will flag the page for needing an English translation as well as create a base page.

5.2. 英語のページに言語テンプレートを追加する

Edit the English page, and at the top of it, add the {{autolang}} template:
