Summary

KDE 4.2.2

  • KDE 4.2.2 is already imported in CVS, ready to be built after the meeting
  • backport to F9/F10 afterwards

split of kdeartwork

  • kdeartwork will be split in order to save space (about 12 megs on wallpapers), mainly on LiveCD
  • jreznik to commit the changes, we review things, and modify comps/spin-kickstarts as needed

qt 4.5 issues

  • some apps (kolourpaint, qgit, ...) have problems with qt 4.5, needs to be investigated and proper bugreports filed

recent bugs

493061: kpackagekit's translations are not working

  • the translations are packaged, the app doesn't pick them up
  • ltinkl to investigate and fix

freedesktop bz 20948: GObject property names vs D-Bus property names (Qt related)

  • Qt is too strict about DBUS property names, waiting for an upstream decision
  • jreznik to talk to Thiago Maceira (Trolltech/Nokia) ASAP

493003: PackageKit-qt-0.3.15-1 broke

  • pk-qt built against qt-4.5.0 doesn't work at all on systems with qt-4.4.x
  • rebuilding it against 4.4 should fix it
