Tu rappresenti Fedora
Quando svolgi la tua attività di ambasciatore, non rappresenti solo te stesso, ma rappresenti in primo luogo il Progetto Fedora. Quando la gente si rivolge a te, essa penserà indirettamente al Progetto Fedora. Ciò implica dover seguire certe regole, e trasmettere una buona impressione è importante sia sul piano personale che per Fedora.
Una buona comunicazione
Come ambasciatore, e come parte del progetto Marketing, dovresti conoscere good word of Fedora, e sapere la differenza tra Fedora e suo cugino, Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Senza in alcun modo denigrare un progetto o prodotto, limitati ad esporre i punti di forza di Fedora.
Nessuna richiesta di finanziamento
Tieni presente, che non si è autorizzati a rendere pubblico alcun dettaglio bancario o qualsiasi richiesta di finanziamneto riguardante il fedoraproject.org. In particolare come ambasciatore, non si è autorizzati a raccogliere fondi a nome del Progetto Fedora o per altra impresa commerciale legata a Fedora.
Evitare il software illegale
Non dovresti incoraggiare le persone ad usare software che potrebbe violare la legge vigente. Leggi e approfondisci le nostre ForbiddenItems. Volendo, puoi indicare agli utenti un software di terze parti, ma non indurli ad usare software che violi la legge o i diritti d'autore. Quando indichi un software di terze parti, spiega chiaramente che l'uso di tale software non è supportato o incoraggiato dal Progetto Fedora.
You represent Fedora, not Red Hat
This is pretty simple. You represent the Fedora Project, which is sponsored by Red Hat. You do not represent Red Hat. If someone is interested in Red Hat specific details or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, please put them in touch with a local Red Hat sales engineer. If you need help with that, ask JonFautley. Even though you may believe that Fedora is perfection, you should not insult any other project or product.
Do not wear a big red hat
Our founding organization and main sponsor, Red Hat, has specifically requested that we not connect hats, red in color or otherwise, to the Fedora Project. Please do not use a hat, whether it's a fedora or any other type of hat, in any presentation of Fedora or to represent the Fedora Project in any way.
Respect the Trademark Guidelines
Always be aware of the Trademark Guidelines for the Fedora trademarks. They protect the Fedora brand. You should also respect the logo guidelines . As an ambassador, you should be especially careful not to violate these guidelines.
Don't get in trouble and ask for help if you get lost
In the beginning, it is a good idea to show drafts of your ambassador messages to a member of the Fedora Ambassadors Steering Committee. This will help you gain confidence, and the committee member can make sure that your message is compatible with the program guidelines.
