- Instructions
- Please add your name to the list if you will attend. Also, please indicate the following:
- Put an X in the $$$ column if you need funding to attend, and visit the FUDCon ticket tracker to make a funding request. We have a limited budget and will work hard to fund as many people as possible. We'll use these answers to help figure out budgeting for the event. We are making arrangements for attendees from other geographic regions to encourage specific initiatives such as future FUDCon events, but preference may otherwise be given to people in North America.
- Put a V in the Veg column if you would like vegetarian fare for any meals that we provide during the event. If you prefer vegan fare, please mark that column VV. We will do our best to make sure everyone is accommodated!
- Put your T-shirt size in the Size column, so we can have an idea about what sizes to have available. (Use a W to note a women's size if needed.)
- If you are looking to share a room, mark an X in the "Roomshare?" column.
- Use the Comments section for anything else you think organizers need to know, or to offer or ask for space or rides.

Light Rail
Valley METRO Light Rail. (on Wikipedia) Metro trains run between Dobson Road in Mesa and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix; the center of the line connects Sky Harbor International Airport with downtown Tempe.
- Metro trains run from the airport to downtown Tempe. The Mill station ("Mill Avenue and Third Street") is two very short blocks from the proposed hotel for FUDCon, Tempe Mission Palms.

Social events
Hospitality suite - Friday
We'll welcome guests on Friday evening at the hotel, at our hospitality suite in the meeting room area. You'll be able to pick up information packets there, as well as your FUDCon badge and other free goodies. We'll get you oriented with maps and answer your other questions, and we'll have snacks and beverages for you as well.
Hack suite - Friday through Sunday nights
There will be a hack suite available nightly throughout the conference. The room information will be posted starting on Friday. The hack suite is a king suite room that we've rented for small groups to use for collaboration, and we'll have a local network there you can use to facilitate your work.
FUDPub - Saturday
- Rúla Búla
- Rúla Búla is located practically next to the Mission Palms hotel. It's an Irish pub with a fairly spacious outdoor patio. Current unknowns: underage patrons and costs.
- Macayo
- Only 0.2 (less than 5 minutes walk) from the Courtyard Tempe hotel. It's a family Mexican restaurant with a full menu including vegetarian items. Still looking for size of their upstairs party room.
- Sparky's Den
- Sparky's Den is in the Memorial Union building (where the Monday proceedings will be held). It features plenty of games (bowling, billiards, ping-pong and pinball), and we can have ASU cater food and service, then do BYOB for the over-21 crowd. This venue looks like it will also support underage patrons with no problem.
Administration
This event is run in general accordance with our other FUDCon events, which have their own set of pages for administration.
Planning meetings
FUDCon is planned openly and transparently. Anyone is welcome to attend and participate in the meetings. All attendees are expected to be polite and constructive. Planning happens through email and IRC:
- Planning via email is done on the fudcon-planning list, which is open to participants to join.
- Regular IRC meetings are held on Monday at 3:00pm US-Eastern time (regardless of UTC) in #fudcon-planning[?].
- IRC meeting agenda is set from the FUDCon planning Trac, using all tickets with the na-meeting keyword set. To add something to the agenda, file a new ticket (if required) and add the na-meeting keyword. Here is the current agenda.
