Cheng-Chia Tseng

My name is Cheng-Chia Tseng. I born in Chiayi city, Taiwan.

The computer science teacher of my junior high school in Chiayi City, Pei-Shin public junior high school, taught us about operating system and FOSS at the first class, then asked us to do a report for some topics he had chosen. I picked the topic about Linux operating system, and even bought a book about Fedora Core 1 after the homework. That is the start of my Fedora journey.

Fedora localization

I have been working on the translation to Traditional Chinese or Chinese (Taiwan). I also am a member of GNOME and KDE Chinese (Taiwan) team, and translate the apps I like to use.

Besides, I am the coordinator of xfce, Meego, LibreOffice Chinese (Taiwan) team, and the administrator of Ubuntu Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) Translators now.

Plans

The Fedora users in Taiwan are many, but only use Fedora to help them pass the exam (ex. LPI certificate) for career needs. There are few people using Fedora driven by interesting, not to mention contributing.

I would like to resist the situation and help spread Fedora in Taiwan, not only by the means of translating but also involving in local forum and even host a few events perhaps. The final goal is to form a Fedora team or community in Taiwan.
