Description

Create a VLAN interface with Cockpit

Setup

Open Cockpit in your browser as described here.

How to test

  1. Log in as "root".
  2. Navigate to the "Networking" page for your machine.
  3. Create a VLAN interface for one of your existing network interfaces. Use any ID you like, the VLAN doesn't need to really work to continue with this test case.
  4. Observe how the new interface tries to obtain an IP address and either fails or succeeds (depending on whether the VLAN actually exists or not).
  5. Change the IPv4 configuration of the VLAN interface to have a static IP address.

Expected Results

No errors should occur.
