About Me
Hello visitor! My name as you can see is Andreas and i'm from Greece (yes Aristotle, Socrates, Alexander, /etc). I have been using GNU Linux since 2010. My first distro was SlackWare and i had to read many docs in order to install it. After that i moved to several other distros including Debian, a distro that i love too but i prefer to not install it on a desktop system. Finally, i've ended up in fedora and i don't want to look elsewhere in the future. The reasons are the following:
- Best Gnome experience (my favorite GUI).
- It includes the latest software releases.
- Early adoption of new technologies.
- It's Very very stable although the former two reasons.
- The project encourages contribution.
- It feels to me as a solid distro.
- It's the only distro with which i've managed to scan documents with my canon-mx475 printer.

Activities within Fedora
I am a new fedora member (and user) and i'm trying to find my way to start contributing to the project. I am a new member of the scitech's Sig and currently unapproved member of the CommOps' group. These days i'm learning how to create a RPM package and i'm willing to include new packages in fedora. My skills include C/C++, Python-NumPy-MatPlotLib, Fortran77, Bash, LaTeX, OpenMP, Vim, GNU Octave. Whether you are a contributor within the fedora project or outside and you want help and you are also willing to give me some guidance, don't hesitate to bother!
