From Fedora Project Wiki
This is the main page for the FAD UVCE Banglore 2017, which is a FAD (a mini-conference) focused on recruiting (and enabling the recruitment of) new testers and contributors to Fedora via the Fedora QA and various other DevOps projects like Ansible.

Purpose
- To gain more contributors for projects like Pagure , Fedora QA , Fedora infra .
We would like to achieve our goal of both recruiting and enabling further recruitment of new design talent to the Fedora project (and FLOSS community in general) via the Fedora Badges and Fedora Hubs projects.
Primary Goals
- Mentoring students to understand how they can start contributing and developing application on Fedora.
- Community Outreach: Reach out to students who might be interested to get involved or consume pagure and other FOSS technologies in their projects.
- Onboard New Fedora Contributors: Have new contributors work on issues listed in [1](https://pagure.io/pagure/issues) [2](https://pagure.io/fedora-qa/issues)
- Hands on on how to solve issues marked as wishful in Pagure
- Engage New Contributors: Engage more contributors in Fedora testing (manual and automated)
Impact
The completion of these goals will create the following positive change within the project:
- More QA contributors and bug squash-ers
- Connection to a new university students with similar interests to hold events
- Creation of a SIG going forward to organize FAD and fedora related events in local context
- A potential model for how more diverse contributors could successfully be recruited into the project.

Planning Prerequisites

- Report back with the data post event

- Follow up hangout call after 2 weeks.

Budget
Note that this event doesn't have any budget. If speakers are willing to pay for their own travel and accommodation, they are welcome.
