Cinnamon Desktop

Cinnamon is a desktop environment developed by the Linux Mint project which provides advanced modern features on top of a traditional desktop layout. It aims to be easy to use, powerful and flexible. News can be found at the Linux Mint blog and extensions can be found at the Cinnamon Spices site.

Getting Cinnamon

Spin

The Fedora Cinnamon spin, since Fedora 23, can be used to try Cinnamon as a live CD/USB and to install it. Get it at the Spins website.

Netinstall

The Cinnamon desktop group can be selected when installing from a Netinstall ISO. Get it on the Fedora download site (under Netinstall Images).

dnf

The Cinnamon desktop group can be installed from dnf and easily switched to on an existing desktop installation of Fedora.

dnf install @cinnamon-desktop

After installation, switch the session to Cinnamon on the login screen.
