Summary
Fedora 8 is out, it's time for some review:
- We haven't found a KDE-related article for F8
- Pulseaudio seems to have no kde-specific issues
The weekly KDE4 talk:
- The focus atm is on kde4 dev platform + kdegames, kdeedu
- Two reviews were submitted:
- ggz-client-libs - Client libraries for GGZ gaming zone (for kdegames)
- kdebase-runtime - K Desktop Environment - Runtime
1 background per hour:
- Script: http://ljuwaida.fedorapeople.org/Artwork/Infinity/KDE/Wallpaper/
- Backgrounds: http://people.redhat.com/duffy/artwork/infinity-24/
- KDE doesn't support resizing the images automatically, so there is needed another option
- KDE doesn't support stretching images of maximal resolution
Package QPackageKit?:
- For the moment QPackageKit seems not to be too incomplete for daily use
- Packaging should start when QPackageKit gets mature
- PavelShevchuk is about to start developing a gui for KDE4 based on libqpackagekit
- If packaging QPackageKit libqpackagekit and qpackagekit should be separate packages
recent/active kde bugs:
- KDE logout doesn't work (#376331 )
- kdebase: unable to mount removable/ntfs (#378041 )
- System Tray in panel shows blank areas (#380571 )
- hidden GtkStatusIcon never reappears under KDE (#214222 )
- kdm: xdmcp no log in (#243560 )
- Enterpise headers block text, urls and email addresses from being selected (#380581 )
