Description
This test case exercises the installation using Non-English European language. Testing also includes verifying proper keymap selected during installation.
How to test
- Boot and initiate an install using any installation source (e.g. boot.iso, CD, DVD, live image or pxeboot)
- Proceed through the installer until the Language Selection step
- Choose a Non-English European language, such as French or German, and its related keymap in the Keyboard Selection step
- At the Disk Partitioning screen, select Encrypt System, click Next
- When prompted, enter a passphrase twice
- Continue installation
Expected Results
- The correct character set is displayed in the laguage selection step
- * Graphical installs have different support than text-mode
- The appropriate keymap is selected based on the language
- Text input using the selected keymap works as expected
- Text appears to be translated in the selected language
- The appropriate timezone is selected based on the language
- Block devices are encrypted (install-time) and decrypted (boot-time) using characters specific to the keymap
- The language package is selected and installed by default
- The installed system is configured as expected
- * /etc/sysconfig/i18n matches the language selected
- * Gdm defaults to the selected keymap
