Get your global Fedora account
The first thing that you need is a Fedora Project account. This is handled by the Fedora Account System (FAS).
Create your FAS account and (as part of that process) sign the contributor license agreement (CLA).
Let people know that you exist
Now that you have your FAS account, make your personal page on the Fedora wiki.
Create your personal wiki page at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Your_FAS_username

Either borrow from our template or steal from someone who has a nice page, like:
Explore the Fedora Project
Ask yourself how well you understand the different moving pieces that make up Fedora. As an Ambassador, you'll be asked about numerous parts of the Fedora Project. You don't need to have all the answers, but you need general familiarity with Fedora, and you'll need to know how to find answers.
Read Fedora Weekly News every week. Think about which parts of the Fedora Project capture your attention and imagination. Read Planet Fedora every day. Read LWN.
If your attention and time doesn't get completely monopolized by some other part of Fedora, come on back to us and join the Ambassadors.
Join the Ambassadors group in FAS
If you are logged in to the Fedora Account System, you should be able to view, and then join, the Ambassadors group.
Pick a mentor
Your mentor is your partner to get sponsored! || Contact and start working with one of these regional mentors. The recommended way to start is, contact the Mentor via email and introduce yourself. A wiki page will help the Mentor to assess your suitability to be an ambassador. Further, the email should contain a bit of information about, what you have done so far, to promote Fedora, amongst your peers/friends and what you intend to do.
Subscribe to the Ambassadors mailing list
Subscribe to Fedora Ambassadors Mailing List || It is an imperative rule that, if you want to be an ambassador (in FAS), you have to be subscribed in the only, official mailing list of ambassadors!
