Personal Information
Indra Gunawan a.k.a Feedsbrain is an IT consutant and freelance programmer from Indonesia. He works as a full-time System Administrator at a General Contractor in East Borneo. His first experiences in using Linux is Redhat 7.2, and keep continue using Redhat based distro until he switch to Fedora.
He is a dropped-out Computer Engineering student from Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM) and then he start to learn Network Topology and Software Development by autodidact. He is involved in the spread of Open Source Software's spirit by giving his consistency in using and developing open source software product.
Now he is using Fedora on his Laptop and his Server. He is also using JBoss Tools and JBoss Seam (Seam Framework) on the top of JBoss Server stack for his software project.
Experiences With Fedora
I have more than 2 years experience in Fedora as workstation and server. I use it on my laptop to support my daily activities, and even doing synchronization with my Windows Mobile device.
Here's the list of my project that involved Fedora as their operating system:
- Restobiz (Simple Restaurant Point of Sales): Fedora has a good kernel setting to support NetBeans IDE work faster on my development machine.
- PyMMC:Python Mobile Media Converter: This small apps is written in Python 2.6 on Fedora 11.
