Description
This test case checks whether the firstboot utility works as intended after Fedora installation.
Setup
Perform an installation of the Fedora release you wish to test, in graphical mode, following all defaults. After performing the test, re-install in text mode, and repeat the test
How to test
- Boot the installed system, and observe whether the firstboot utility runs
- If it does run, complete the firstboot process. You must at least create one user account. You may choose to test other functions offered by the firstboot process
- After completing the firstboot process, test whether you can log in successfully with the user account you created
Expected Results
- You should be able to complete the user creation process with apparent success
- The user creation process should actually create a working user account with which you can log in to the system
- Other functions of firstboot, if tested, should complete without errors, crashes or freezes, and should achieve the results they claim
