About me
My name is Frank, I am a 28 year old linux enthusiast living in Phoenix, Arizona. I have used every version of Fedora so far, and I wish to find some way to give back within my areas of expertise.
Linux history
I started using Linux with Redhat 7.3, although I didn't stay long at that time, I went to Debian instead, and fell in love. I stayed aware of ongoings with RedHat though, downloading and testing RH 8 and 9. I never really took an active role though as I always ended up back with Debian.
Around Fedora Core 6, I got a 64bit machine, and Debian's multiarch support is seriously lacking. I felt I needed a new distro. I missed Debian though, so I kept going back. Then the recent SSL issues have taught me exactly why Fedora insists on staying so close to upstream, and I think I will be staying this time for the long haul.
Fedora goals
I would like to get involved in the docs project, I think I am a reasonably good writer, and think Fedora needs help in this area. I also hope to learn how to package, and I plan to devote a good amount of time to FedoraUnity and IRC providing community support. Other than that, I guess we'll see as things come up.
