My name is Eslam Mostafa, i am fond of opensource also enthusiastic about using free "as in freedom" software. Also i am a GNOME member (the second and last Egyptian member in the foundation).
What i do is coding, mostly python, php and javascript, at the mean time i participate with GNOME folks to write applications, i participated in gnome-clocks and now working on gnome-music. i held some opensource events in my city "sohag, Egypt" and always tend to help people on the social networks or mail lists. Here is the mistake of my life, i study in a commerce faculty in computer but hail the self-study and the great knowledge sources on the internet.
What do i do?
I used to held opensource/linux sessions, telling people about freedom,opensource,linux,etc... but now i am willing to start to teach people how to use linux and go deeper, and i will be using Fedora as my model, I will teach people how to install/run/play with fedora on their machines, basically i will be moving from session-type events to workshop-events. That means i will be in touch with fedora people in Egypt and improve the fedora community and by encouraging more people to use fedora the community will expand.
