Idea

Quoting Máirín Duffy's mail:
"I was wondering if there are any Fedora ambassadors on this list who are also Fedora design team members who would be willing to step up into a formal 'events liasion' role. This would involve coordinating between the design team and ambassadors to make sure, as we get closer to Fedora 16's release, that the ambassadors will have all the materials they need from design to ship and attend events. This might also involve some clean up / organization of existing events materials to make it easier for ambassadors to find the materials we've already created for them."

So the idea is to have some people which have an eye on Fedora events around the world as well as on design work demands at the Fedora Ambassadors and Fedora Marketing team. They're contact persons for tickets, wishes and needs of Ambassadors and marketing people.

(Oh, and btw: Get the SVG sources for our little ninja here.)

Who

Tasks

Needed material according to Ambassadors reports on past release events:
(quickly gathered points)

  • one page sheets, including the release notes
  • flyers in EU standard formats, not only in US
  • action posters for other features than graphics
  • design contest for printable material would be great
  • F15 release poster was praised, so something like that should be done for F16 release again
  • a slide show with showing Fedora's and F15's features for showing at the entrance to an event
  • general leaflets with some free space for local contact information
  • new version of the poster for Live USB creator stations.
