Hi! My name is Giovanni Grieco, I am 21 years old and I am Italian. Passionate about operating and control systems, I like messing up with Linux and devices. Currently I am an undergraduate student in Computer and Control Engineering at the Polytechnic of Bari, Italy.

I am a Linux user for around a decade and a serious "Linux or GTFO" user for a year, when I started to use Fedora as my primary and only Operating System. Curiousness and laziness are what drives me, that's why I like to explore, fix problems and customize things and Linux gives me access to all of this without much effort.

Activities outside Fedora

GDG Bari member

I have joined recently the Google Developer Group in my town. I'm happy to expose crazy ideas and organize wonderful events with the support of Google. Most of these events and talks are all about open source technologies and software engineering methods like Agile Development.

Embedded Systems Engineer

I've been working on the design and production of a control system powered by Linux and embedded in a Formula SAE car. I use a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ to do all the magic. This is not a job but an extracurricular activity at my university. What drives me most is the amount of knowledge that I acquire month after month about the Linux kernel and industrial communication protocols (such as CAN).
