About /me
Iván Chavero wrote his first programs in BASIC at the age of 10, promoter and developer of free software since 1997, he has a Master in Computer Systems Engineering from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua where he spent over 15 years managing high availability systems, he started in Red Hat as a Senior Software Engineer and he's currently in a more education oriented role as a Services Content Architect. Iván, actively contributes to several open source projects mostly related to containers and cloud computing and is part of a startup that creates cloud services and appliances.
He is a founding member of the Chihuhaua's Linux user group and professor of the engineering faculty of the University of Chihuahua.
When not taming computers or programming you can find him riding his skateboard on Mexico City or Chihuahua or touring with his band Seis Pistos.
