Description

This test case ensures that the NEST simulator functions correctly on install.

Setup

  1. Run a current Fedora release: even a virtual machine is OK.
  2. Install nest: sudo dnf install python3-nest.
  3. If testing an update, please ensure that the build in the update is being installed: sudo dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing install python3-nest.

How to test

  1. In a terminal, run the ipython3 interpreter: ipython3
  2. Try to import nest: import nest
  3. Run the simplest example simulation from the NEST documentation: https://nest-simulator.readthedocs.io/en/stable/getting_started.html

Expected Results

  1. Nest should be import correctly in Python.
  2. You should be able to run the example simulation and see the graph provided in the documentation.
