Description

This test case tests whether automatic mounting of removable media works in a given installation. For full testing you will need a system with an optical disc reader, an optical disc (compatible with the drive) containing some data, and some kind of USB storage device such as a USB key

How to test

  1. Clean boot the Fedora you wish to test: this could be a system installed from a particular snapshot, pre-release, or release, or a live image
  2. If possible, insert the optical disc into the optical drive and observe whether it is mounted and the contents displayed
  3. If possible, connect the USB storage device to the system and observe whether it is mounted and the contents displayed

Expected Results

  1. Both optical media and USB storage devices should be automatically mounted when inserted / attached. If intended by the desktop environment under test, the contents of the device (or a window with a list of available actions) should be displayed
