Description

This test case checks whether Xfce runs correctly when a system with Xfce installed is upgraded from Fedora 10 to Fedora 11.

How to test

  1. Install Fedora 10 (any install method is OK)
  2. Install Xfce: yum install @XFCE
  3. Ensure you can log in to and use Xfce as expected
  4. Optional: use Xfce a bit - change some settings, customize it to your liking
  5. Upgrade the system to Rawhide: enable the Rawhide repositories and run yum upgrade or, if necessary, yum upgrade --skip-broken
  6. Reboot, and attempt to log in to Xfce
  7. Check if Xfce works with no error or warning messages, and any changes or customizations you made are preserved

Expected Results

  1. During Rawhide upgrade, no errors, warnings or problems should be caused by Xfce packages
  2. You should be able to log in to Xfce on the upgraded system with no errors, warnings or problems
  3. All customizations and configuration changes you made before upgrading should be preserved
