Description
KDE upstream features a networkmanagement applet.
Setup
- Computer/notebook with an internal or external wireless/ethernet card
- Boot to KDE Plasma Desktop, the networkmanagement applet icon appears in the system tray
How to test
- Connect to your local network
- Configure an ethernet or wireless connection
- Try to connect to the configured connection
- Create a shared wireless connection
- Click on the configure button/panel at the bottom of the applet
- Click on "Edit connections"
- Create a new shared wireless network
- Connect to the newly created shared network
Expected Results
- Connect to your local network
- You are correctly connected
- The applet icon represents your actual connection
- Create a shared wireless connection
- You are sucessfuly connected to your shared network
- You are able to connect to this network from another computer/phone (not applicable for ad-hoc mode which is not supported by Android/iOS)
