This release will have a number of bugfixes and improvements, but no radical changes.

Xfce users will have the latest version, complete with bug fixes and enhancements.

Upgrade/compatibility impact
Existing Xfce users should be able to upgrade from 4.10 to 4.12.
However, some small number of panel plugins will no longer be available. They were based on the old depreciated libxfcegui4 toolkit and are no longer maintained upstream.

Fedora 22 includes the latest version of the Xfce desktop with lots of bugfixes and improvements, including:
- The alt tab window switcher now can show previews of all windows as you select which to switch to.
- A Hidpi theme has been added for laptops with hidpi screens.
- The panel can now intelligently hide itself and supports Gtk3 plugins.
- The desktop has a new wallpaper settings dialog, per workspace wallpaper support, and better multi-monitor handling.
- Support has been added for the new libinput input library.
- Many improvements in the Thunar file manager, including tabs, bugfixes and speedups.
- The simple mousepad editor has been rewritten for speed and simplicity
- The parole media player has been ported to gtk3 and has new and reworked interface.
- The clipboard manager now supports showing QR codes for items in the clipboard.
