FAD ECSL 2017

About

ECSL stands for Central American Free Software Meeting, and it is is an annual event organized since 2009 by the Central American Free Software community. ECSL is where activists and members of communities and user groups meet for articulation, education, coordination and exchange of ideas to strengthen agreements and joint forms of work that facilitate the promotion of use and development Free Software in the region.

A Fedora Activity Day will be held in conjunction with ECSL.

Location & Schedule

ECSL - July 21 & 22, 2017 Alajuela, Costa Rica

Registration fees:

  • Full: USD $150 includes:
    • Accommodation + breakfast on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (in hostel, with shared room and bathroom)
    • Full meal from Thursday night to Saturday dinner
    • Event swag and t-shirt
  • Partial: USD $100 includes:
    • Full meal from Thursday night to Saturday dinner
    • Event swag and t-shirt

This event will take place in multiple buildings across the city that are part of several universities and the municipality. Exact locations still TBD.

The venue is within 5-10 minutes from Juan Santamaría International Airport and 45 minutes from the main Central American bus lines. For details, see below. If you are afraid of getting lost, the following links might help you:

Accommodation

Group accommodation for all sponsored participants will be organized to reduce costs. Expect to share a room if you are requesting lodging.
