Description
This test case tests whether creating a color profile for a webcam or scanner in gnome-color-management is successful. It requires a webcam or scanner which is supported in Linux, and a pre-printed reference color target like one of these
Setup
- Remove the
shared-color-targets
package if it is installed - Ensure the
gnome-color-manager
package is installed - Remove any previous configuration by deleting the
~/.config/gnome-color-manager
and~/.color
directories - Ensure no color calibration hardware is connected
How to test
- Run the profile management tool: on the system menus, System / Preferences / Color Profiles
- On the Devices tab, select a connected webcam or scanner from the list, and click the Create profile for device button
- If asked whether to install packages for device support, say yes
- Follow the instructions provided for creating the profile
Expected Results
- The
shared-color-targets
package should be installed during the profile creation phase - An appropriate profile for the device should be created and applied when the profile creation process is complete
