Fedora Events: Sightseeing at CERN - Geneva, Switzerland

The sightseeing at CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research - is the after FUDCon EMEA 2010 social event. The event is open to all attendees of the FUDCon, this means that everybody is welcome to join (not only Fedora contributors).

A physicist who is working at the ATLAS Project will do a guided tour for us. We can also have a look (unfortunately not a touch) in their computing cluster which runs mostly Scientific Linux.

Meeting time and point
We'll meet exactly at 8:15 local time in front of the Altstetten trains station.

• • take a taxi which brings us to Cern
  • and have a guided sightseeing (duration ca. 4 hours)
  • take again taxi or public transport to get to Train station and take train back to Zuerich
    • 15:15 h till 17:56 h or
    • 15:45 h till 18:28 h or
    • 16:14 h till 18:56 h or
    • 16:45 h till 19:28 h or
    • 17:15 h till 19:56 h
  • so that it seems that we will have much time in train to socialize and have also fruitful discussion regarding Fedoras future,friends, first and freedom in EMEA :-)
