Problems with Blueman as a default Bluetooth manager:
- gnome-bluetooth will probably be included in the GNOME releases, making it the default for the GNOME/Desktop spin (see http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyseven selection is end of July)
- has no widgets for applications to use
- doesn't integrate with NetworkManager cleanly (gnome-bluetooth has PAN integration, given the NetworkManager-applet plugin)
- doesn't support Secure Simple Pairing
- the setup and pairing doesn't follow the UI guidelines from the Bluetooth SIG
- doesn't integrate with Geoclue
I think the first issue alone makes this a no-go. (BastienNocera)
